Pénurie de logements abordables à Calgary en Alberta

Avec la vigueur de l’économie albertaine des dernières années, le prix des maisons augmente en flèche ainsi que celui des condos mais la recherche d’un appartement abordable reste très difficile tel que le rapport le Calgary Herald de cette semaine.
Selon le journal, on n’a construit que 350 logements abordables depuis 2002 à Calgary. Impossible de trouver un studio pour moins de 900 $ par mois. Selon le journal, certains travailleurs nouvellement arrivés doivent se rabattrent sur des refuges destinés aux démunis. Certains en viennent à quitter la ville afin de vivre un peu plus loin.
